INGREDIENTS
sunflower oil
½ cup
Butter

chopped chicken
1 (3 pounds)
Water
¼ cup
Lemon
Half
ground cumin
2 teaspoons
Salt
1 ½ teaspoon
ginger and garlic paste
1 ½ teaspoon
red chilly powder (Kashmiri chili powder or paprika)
½ teaspoon
Black pepper powder

ground turmeric
¼ teaspoon
tomatoes (pureed or chopped)

PREPARATION

  1. Keep all the above ingredients ready and take a wok pan.

  2. Add oil or ghee to the pan, and add cut chicken pieces

  3. Add salt and pepper. Fry chicken until color changes and set aside.

  4. In the same wok, add finely chopped onions for 3 minutes until translucent.

  5. Now add the salt, and spices and stir for a min

  6. Add tomatoes pureed or chopped for 4 minutes, ginger garlic paste

  7. Cover and wok and stir it until oil separates

  8. Now add the fried chicken with little water and cook for 10 to 15 minutes

  9. Add butter and garlic chili for garnish

  10. Off the stove and squash half lemon for the tangy touch 

  11. Now chicken Karahi is ready to serve hot.
